Sophie Tomlinson

I am currently in Australia on a working holiday visa and looking for work for 4-6 months, I can travel to anywhere in Australia and can start immediately.
I am confident in handling and caring for horses and have the experience and qualifications to work with horses to high standard.

I have extensive experience working with horses, with past jobs including horse rescue centres and teaching horse riding, I have also owned my own horse in the past and am a competent horse rider having competed my own horse and ridden on university competition teams, I also have my British Horse Society stage 2 in riding and care.
As well as practical experience I also did my undergraduate degree in equine psychology and sports science at a university with a large equine centre on site, I then went in to do a masters in animal health and welfare.

I am currently in Australia looking for work, however my last role in the UK was at a large horse rescue centre, here I worked as part of a team and individual to care for the horses in our care, including administrating medication and first aid, keeping important records, groundwork rehabilitation and general yard maintenance.
