Expert Work Rider

（Working location: Conghua district, Guangzhou, Guangdong)

 Responsibilities:

1. Possess high ability in riding thoroughbred racehorses at slow work or fast gallop ‘to time’ or uphill gallop as requested by the allocated Trainer(s) or his delegate
2. Attend stall test and barrier trial when required
3. Give timely and accurate feedback and advice to the allocated Trainer (s) or delegate in riding, schooling and educating difficult or young thoroughbred racehorses
4. To assist during barrier trials, barrier practice and race day and racing related event duties
5. Undertake other duties as assigned by Stable Operations Manager or his delegate

Requirements:

1. Be highly experienced rider of thoroughbred racehorses. Have a minimum of 5 years working experience in riding thoroughbred racehorses
2. Preferably be an ex-licensed jockey
3. Preferably have Asian/Mainland China working experience
4. Be able to jump a horse out of the starting gate and recognize signs of lame horse, deemed to have “bled” or striking itself
5. Be able to fit a bridle, saddle, martingale, breastplate, boots and other gears under the instructions from his/her allocated Trainer(s) and or delegate
6. Be able to communicate in English
