A private patron is looking for a dependable and motivated Groom/Rider to join a small, well-run yard.
This position offers the chance to gain polo exposure in a supportive setting, working with three to four horses in high-quality facilities. The focus is on consistent, attentive care and maintaining a calm, organised routine for the horses whether the owner is in residence or travelling.
The role suits someone practical and conscientious who enjoys working independently but is equally comfortable assisting during training and competition periods.
Responsibilities
- Riding and fitness work to maintain horse condition
- Daily yard duties including mucking out, feeding and turnout management
- Tack cleaning and general yard organisation
- Monitoring well being and carrying out routine care
- Assisting during practices, preparation and match days when required
Previous polo knowledge is not essential as guidance will be provided. Enthusiasm for horse welfare, reliability and a positive approach to yard life are the most important qualities for this role.
