Within my current job as well as managing 30 apprentices, I am responsible for ensuring all the equine students are BHS members, organising their exam entries and monitoring progress. I am highly organised and able to communicate at any level, liaising with employers, students, external bodies and the heads of faculty on a regular basis. I also organise and run the inter college competitions, training events throughout the year and support a number of volunteers / temporary staff.
Relevant experience
With knowledge gained working in the equine industry for over 20 years and my own experience’s competing in all 3 disciplines I feel that I have a good all round knowledge and skills to succeed.With my experience and qualifications, I am looking for a role that provides me with a new focus and that will present new challenges. I believe working for British Eventing would do exactly that. To effectively achieve high standards, I believe you need to be part of an establishment that is striving for the same aims, goals and ambitions.
I am a fast learner with excellent communication and organisation skills, I have a fine eye for detail. I can take on the responsibility of this position, and have the enthusiasm and determination to ensure that I make a success of it.

Work Based Learning Coordinator &
Equine Apprenticeship Course Manager
• Undertake work based assessments to ensure students appropriate progression
• towards qualification.
• Maintain accurate reports and documentation including tracking and exam entries to ensure that all Apprentices achieve timely achievement.
• Administration of all documentation and supporting evidence for all apprentices. Establish and maintain links with employers in order to negotiate opportunities for learning, employment and work experience.
• Organisation and running of BHS examinations, Inter college competitions and External Verifiers visits.
• Overall responsibility for marketing Apprenticeships, organising and running employer liaison events.
• Organising meetings and taking minutes for Senior Management to ensure that sufficient Apprenticeship places are filled and the smooth running of the department.
• Arrange and conduct initial interviews and assessment to ensure appropriate level of programme is undertaken and Additional Learning Support, where appropriate, will be accessed..
• Conduct a comprehensive induction programme for young people learners prior to
commencement on training programmes.
• Undertake comprehensive health and safety audits of all potential training premises and suggest any necessary improvements.
