Current role - description

Head Groom

• Sole responsibility of 7 horses
• In charge of estate whist the proprietors are away
• Carry out the daily routine this includes feeding, paddock maintenance, mucking out stables, filling hay nets, tidying the areas around the yard
• Exercising horses, riding and lunging
• Clipping
• Preparing for competitions, loading the lorry with correct tack and equipment the horses and riders need
• Harrowing school
• Dog walking
• Ordering feed and bedding
• Assisting with farrier and vet visits
• Childcare when occasionally needed competition
