Current role - description
Teaching on a freelance basis both private clients and commercially to cover sickness etc.
Works with total beginners up to BHS Stage three/elementary dressage riders.
Teaches riders sympathetically focusing upon position and the influence upon the horse. Will absolutely not teach kick and pull however is realistic and will instruct riders in how to correct problems as they arise through self awareness and controlled, fair discipline.
Prefers to view the horse holistically, uses groundwork and ridden exercises as a key to improvement does not like schooling aids and is reluctant to use them with the exception of side reins, however will use two lunge lines to achieve schooling from the ground objectives without strapping the horse down.
Very good at teaching riders who lack confidence having been in the same situation after a horrific fall hence why seeking non riding position, although will occasionally pop on to demonstrate something.
Still rides own horses daily and competes unaffiliated/county bringing one out at BD in the imminent future.
