I am an excellent organiser who can work effectively on my own or in a team situation. I can “think on my feet” and have problem solving attitude to work.
I learn quickly and have excellent communication skills both for teaching and motivating. I have a vast experience working and teaching, both young children and adults.
I am well spoken with impeccable manners, I present myself in a correct and professional way at all times and I enjoy mentoring and taking a strong role in the development of others.
I am efficient in organising farriers, vets, leasing with staff, record keeping also show organisation, client bookings via email and phone as well as taking card payments.
Relevant experience
I have worked with horses for over ten years in both large commercial and small private yards assuring the smooth running and obtaining high level of husbandry throughout. I have a wealth of “horsey” knowledge from personal experience and learning from other experienced riders and teachers. I can see if a horse is sick, lame or uncomfortable and I have obtained my BHS 1, 2, 3 and 4 Care as well as holding current First Aid and DBS certificates. I am a registered APC coach. I have also owned my own horse for over 10 years and also compete in the disciplines of dressage and showing in my spare time.
Current role - description
■ Daily care, exercise and feeding of 25 horses
■ Teaching of young children to adults ranging from complete beginners to experienced riders in dressage and Showjumping
■ Organising and running pony days and day courses
■ Updating Facebook and website
■ Assisting vet for examinations and Farrier when required.
■ Organisation of staff, allocation of tasks and overseeing all horses healthy and correctly cared for.
■ Organising and running of office, daily bookings, payments, emails.
■ Running Competitions, clinics and events
■ Delivering stable management sessions for BHS stages
■ Coaching vaulting and assisting with competitions
