Adaptable and approachable with experience working in therapeutic riding for individuals with learning difficulties. Good communication skills with both colleagues and clients with a positive work ethic and understanding of responsibility and safety. Passions include teaching others how to ride and properly care for horses.
2007-2012: Attended riding lessons at Arundel Riding and Driving Centre, pony camps and experienced life as a 'stable girl' (i.e. caring for one horse for five days including riding, grooming, mucking out, tacking up, etc.)
2015-2016: A-Level Creative Writing Mentor (Chichester College)
2017-2018: GCSE English Tutor (via Tutorful.com)
2018-present: Equine volunteer
Equine volunteer within the Riding Therapy Unit at Ferring Country Centre, West Sussex. Role includes: maintaining a clean and tidy environment (regularly sweeping the yard, mucking out, cleaning tack, changing bedding, etc.), grooming and hoof-picking, turning out, tacking up and untacking, using rugs appropriately, preparing feed and watering, leading others during lessons, hacks and out on the road, and supporting clients (children and adults with learning difficulties) with riding, caring for their favourite horses and using equipment.
