Energetic Equine and Rehabilitation Graduate with 10 years experience working with horses and competing in the African FEI dressage challenge in 2011 and winning my section.
Relevant experience
* During my last two years of high school I volunteered on a large ranch (+ 50 acre). I was responsible for general horse welfare and care. The role included supervising other volunteers, helping organise large external events and mentoring young students.
* whilst doing my Degree in Equine Therapy and Rehabilitation at Bishop Burton College I worked as part of the integral horse welfare team. This included everyday yard duties, prepping the horses for BHS exams, night duties and helping with large events.
* I have done volunteer work with the Hong Kong Para Dressage team in Austria which lead them qualifying to the World Equestrian Games. I helped prep the horses as well as working with one of the disabled riders.
* Competed in various competitions including the 2011 African FEI dressage challenge which lead me to winning my section for Zambia.
* Head Girl on a private Hunt yard which consisted of daily yard duties, exercising the Horses, checking the fencing and organising vet, farrier and feed call outs when allowed to do so.
Driving the horse lorry to hunt meets and lessons as well as multiple trips to Rainbow Equine Hospital.
Current role - description
I am currently studying to be an Equine Dentist which enables me to continue working full time as the course runs every six months for a week.
