1116 Yard Manager

An exciting and rare opportunity for an experienced Yard Manager has become available in Rexford, New York USA! Situated next to the Mohawk river, this state of the art, purpose built facility consists of large stables with the most up to date innovative equipment, indoor and outdoor arenas, horse walker, wash down bays plus much more all to ensure that the horses are happy and healthy!

This is a full-time permanent role with a competitive salary, nearby housing offered, use of a vehicle and an opportunity to ride!

The right candidate should have previous experience in running a yard, be professional and organised and be happy to over sea and support the other grooms. Ability to use initiative to order feeds, stock, bedding and organise farrier and vet visits. Able to prepare horses for ridden work as and when required. The candidate must have high standards and take pride in their work, yard and horses.

This is a varied role which offers plenty of riding from general exercising to galloping and swimming in warmer weather! Confident to ride and assist with starting and training young thoroughbred horses is a must - videos and photos will be requested on application.
